saw it with the g/f tonight. booked tickets online Tuesday, was amazed that any were available for Thursday evening!

It was very good, CB did very well, there's nowhere near enough of Michael Caine or Morgan Freeman in it, imo. The show belongs to the late Heath Ledger, rip, I can see that the Oscar chatter is not mere sympathy. He was simply phenomenal as the Joker. It is a very well written part, and played to perfection by HL.

Extra points for the brilliant score, the music really kept the pace alive. I was in two minds, tbh, the g/f couldn't wait but I suspect she's into Christian Bale. She loved the last CB Batman outing, and I thought it was rank. My concerns (about the movie, though not Mr. Bale) were alleviated however. Its well worth catching. And the toys!!! Honourable mention to the bat-cloak, bike, car/mobile, lamborghini, etc. Wish I had his toys, and his money!!

On the downside, Maggie Gyllenhaal (how does she get work?) - enough said. Just not believable that his batness and the DA of GC are in bits over her, or how anyone could be for that matter. Totally lacking charisma, but I acknowledge that this is a highly subjective pov.

Its also a long-un (phnarr) at >2hrs, but there are only moments when you feel it - bear in mind we went to a 9pm showing after work on Thursday so there's some fatigue to consider.

All in all: disengage brain, strap-in, enjoy.

Lol do you's two just constantly bitch at each other :p

where are you from new york?

/slaps you round the back of the head... then slaps the other 2 round the back of the head.... then gets slapped by the other 2, who then get slapped by you who gets slapped by me and it turns into a giant fipfap escapade.

I could really drink an ice cold beer now!

I am bored to tears by all things Batman-related, but HL was a legend and a fellow Australian, so I am taking the missus to see DK this evening.

I expect to be assaulted by a brainless plot with far too many explosions and things flying through the air at supersonic speeds  but it'll be worth it to pay my respects to The Ledge and give the missus a giggle.

:)

Going to see it tommorow, not overly fussed thought the last film was one of the best, maybe just because I was in it !! :D

Part of it was filmed at Cardington Airship Sheds, about three minute walk from my house, loads of locals were used as extras in the crowd scenes.

Only really going to see this one to see if I made the cut this time, or ended up on the cutting room floor.
