well OCZ memory is known to have issue with Asus boards... not sure how true that is I have brough some 9200 OCZ for benching so fingers crossed it will run fine but probably something you should be aware of
Yes - but try 8GB of that stuff and the board won't boot. Been there, done that. Ended up buying 8GB of Corsair that was on the QVL list, and it booted up first time. Still have the 8GB of that upgrade gold stuff, have to get rid of it now.

I have 8GB of Dane-Elec Celenade CAS6 in my P5Q Pro I got it from a competitor ******** for £ 17.99 ex VAT per 2GB stick its branded "PC Memory" there but its the Celenade, its also available at **** for £ 18.99 ex VAT a stick, its ok stuff I`m running a 367 bus @ 5-5-5-15 but have tried up to 400 no problem, it doesn't like 412 though windows fails to boot, I could try upping the RAM voltage I suppose
The only problem I have had with 8GB ram is that now my TV Tuner works worse then before, I used to have 4GB and got the occasionally crackle and pop sound repeating when I loaded WinTV but now with 8GB its even worse, the only way I can use it is after a fresh reboot - its something to do with the way it accesses 4GB RAM or more under Vista 64bit.
There is no doubt in my mind that there are compatibility issues with certain OCZ modules and ASUS boards. Some here run 8GB of OCZ Platinum perfectly smoothly on the P5Q, but I'll never buy OCZ again after this experience. I'll either have to flog mine off cheap or see if it works in my Gigabyte P35 board
I have no issues with 8GB, but I don't have a TV tuner.
