If you look for most popular vids there are always loads of adverts in the comments has someone created a programme to automatically add comments to most popular youtube vids? Since they number in the millions I'd imagine this is a good source of free advertising?

if people are like me i never bother reading them as they are clearly spam. Cant think it works to be honest
Yes, someone has. The same people who flood e-mail inboxes with thousands of pointless crap (it's well-known that spam makes up the majority of e-mail traffic worldwide). They also have tools to spam forums, hack blogs, and god knows what else. :/
