Beach / Camping recommendations UK

Hi all,


I'd like to take advantage of the nice weather tomorrow so decided that myself and the missus should hit the beach tomorrow and spend the night camping in our 2 man tent.

She says she wouldn't mind a bit of crab fishing as well. I don't really want to spend 4 hours traveling (live in Leicester) but don't mind up to 3 hours. Any ideas please?

Don't camp on the actual beach, you will struggle to ground your tent from wind and you will probably wake up floating in the sea.

Whats the difference between 3 and 4 hours travelling?

aye well that's a given mate common sense ensues there. Spose there's not much difference between 3-4 I just think anything over 3 and I'll be knackered.

Devon's within 3 hours from Leicester, loads of places to camp down here Cornwall probably just pushing it time wise.

You could try somewhere like ladram bay.
I went there quite a few years ago beautiful coastline and lots of rock pools etc
