This too much or not enough ?

Girlfriends birthday on thursday, only been going out 6 weeks ish, ofcourse she keeps saying i dont need to get her anything but i know if i dont i'd never hear the end of it. So ive gone and got her something.

Some chocolate labrador puppy toy £20 or so (she loves them and wants a real one, but i aint spending 500 quid just yet).

A bunch of pink lillies and red roses in a vase which cost £50 and a box of luxury chocolates £10ish (she's a chocolate addict!)

And ofcourse the usual birthday card, she's 27 so not quiet a milestone birthday just yet.

Think thats ok or not enough ?

Sounds boring and typical to me, try being original and buying something she either will truly love or something she really wants but would never buy with her own money.

The puppy is thoughtful though as it shows he knows what she likes.

Leave out the flowers to be honest.

We spent double what im spending on presents a week on eating out so its really not a problem.

sounds a little excessive on the flowers front but a good choice of gifts

Thats not a problem, she just spent the weekend at mine and she over next weekend anyway.

My birthday in 3 weeks also so hopefully get something back.

Dog was a good idea i think, will put something like "I O U a real one!" on the card or something.

It seems a little much really. Have you known her very long before you started going out? It is quite generic too (chocolates / flowers / toy), however, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I can think of far worse things to be bought, after all I've never been bought flowers lol

At 6 weeks you need to know that when the chips are down she'll be around with her undying, death-defying love for you ... ahem.

Book a boxing ring where she has to fight an alligator bare-chested (her, not the alligator). If she wins, she's the one for you.

I'm not sure if you are the type, but people that don't like buying flowers as they die (signally doom and decay) are just weird and odd. Yes, flowers die. We buy them as they are nice before they wilt. Flowers dying isnt a sad thing. They are flowers. Get over it.
