Looking at a new build with a bedroom size of 11'11 x 6'1.

I'll want to rent this out, would you rent a room that big (islington £500per month?

also is the room large enough for a double bed. Note, the door is in the corner of the room.

I would say if you can comfortably get a double bed + all usual bedroom furniture (storage space etc) into the room and you have to climb over anything whilst entering the room then it would be ok to rent as a "double room"

6ft 1 isnt very wide. i would say you wouldnt have much space either side of a double bed but then again im not good at picturing sizes of things

At a push you'd get it in, but a bed (single or double) is 6.25ft long, plus a bit extra for frame too, so you'd only be able to arrange it lengthways along the 11.1' wall

Then a double mattress is 4.5ft wide, so you're left with just over 1.5ft (8 inches each side if in the middle)

It's do-able, certainly, but I'm wondering where you'd fit in any other things like a wardrobe, chest of drawers etc..

As for £500 a month - probably a bit high, but it would also depend on the communal living arrangements and where it was in Islington, Angel then maybe, Highbury end maybe not, it's basically a single room even if you cram a double bed in there after all.

Essex rd - right by Balls Pond Road (so the very end)

as a person who is currently looking to rent a double room, there is no way I would pay £500 a month for a room that small.
