Reccommend me some Music please

I'm not sure that you'll like my recommendations as they will be fairly different but give them a try because I think the best personal recommendations are the ones that you genuinely like, not something you think will fit another person's music tastes. I listen to, and enjoy these bands from your list:

My number one band, though I wonder if you'll like is 'The National' - best band ever. In my humble opinion. Very different to those bands though.

Cheecks for the reccomendations. I've got some Modest mouse, and will check out the rest of those you have reccomended.

Also, as you are a Arcade Fire fan you might wanna check out Architects in Helsinki yourself. I find some of their traits similar.

Thanks everyone else who has added a constructive reply to this post. I will listen to some previews of them on iTunes and then decide which ones i want to buy :)

Will post back with what i got. Sex pistols, Ruts, Members, Clash, Stranglers etc, i've got some of this, should really look at some other albums by them
 
I've now started to look into some of the music suggestions posted here.

I've had a few of 'The Nationals' albums for a while, quite like them. Now, Idlewild, I have heard of some of their songs but it seems they have done quite a few albums. Which albums would people recommend I got?

Old school, well you can always try The Pixes.
