Asus Artic Square

Hiya,

Thinking of getting the Asus Artic Square with some Arctic Silver 5 so I can overclock to 3.6 or maybe 3.8.

Just wanted to get some advice and be sure it'll do the job, if I'm honest I also like the look of this cooler.

Nooooooooooooooooo!

Go for the Tuniq Tower instead. There's an LED version too if you like flashy lights.

And use MX-2 instead of AS5.

Okay, thanks ... Not sure the Tuniq Tower will fit in my case. Is it compatible with the Asus PK5 Premium?

Okay, looking good.

So I guess it's down to my case, has anyone used a Tuniq Tower with the Antec 900 Gaming Case, does it fit and are there any issues?

Oh, also what can I expect from the E8400 with the Tuniq Tower 120?

untill last weekend i was using a Tuniq Tower in an Antec 900 without any problems.

the only issue i found in all the time is that the hight of the tower means u cant put a 120mm fan in the bracket on the side window of the case.

but frankly the cooling in the case is more than adiquate so i cant see why you would want to use the side window fan braket unless your having serious heat problems in the case.

the only other slight problem can be tightening the top two mobo screws to the case risers as the size of the tower means its hard to get a screw driver in, unless u fit the tower after the mobo which means its then difficult to tighten the tower to the motherboard due to the ristricted size.

difficult not impossible may i add.

so yes to summarise no problems what so ever using Tuniq Tower in an antec 900 other than those two minor points.

over all a cracking cpu cooler

Is there a performance difference between these, just curious as there is a price difference.

The only difference is the LED's in the fan. Tho I've no idea why the LED version is a good bit cheaper.
