Dont you hate it when you go to hit them and they jump before impact (the clever rats) and disappear?

I would have poo'd myself, not before aiming it in the spiders general direction

Spiders freak me out so much :(

We have ?

Seriously, it's a spider. Go to Indonesia for a while and then say that spider's big.

In indonesia we had Banded Sea Crates during mating season slithering around on the island and beach, between our huts. Spiders were the last thing on our minds (right after the 5 foot monitor lizards).

I'm not sure. I think they are, but they dont count cause they live in the sea. I thought the official one was the Black Mamba.

Edit: apparently they're spelled "Krait". didnt know that.

The Laticauda are often active at night, which is when they prefer to hunt. Even though they contain one of the most toxic venoms in the world, Laticauda are usually not aggressive towards humans.

Our guides said that they probably wouldnt hurt us, but to watch where we step. Still enough to scare the pants off you :P

Yes, but i was watching a documentary on Sky and they said they used to live on land but went to the sea...

But still come on land Occasionally and can survive fine because they need to come to the seas surface for air.

Sea snakes don't have belly scales like land snakes, so they're a lot less mobile on land. Doesn't help when they bite you though :)

I can't understand why people kill house spiders and the like. Ignorance I guess. They're not doing you any harm, and without them we'd be overrun by flies and other insects, so they're beneficial.

Im pretty scared of the spiders that the OP posted, although I'll never kill one. I'll always try and catch it with something then get it out the house.

I do remember when I tried to catch one above my bed, and it lept out of the container just as i caught it and landed on my bed and hid. Suffice to say, I did not sleep in that room until I caught it.

You shouldnt have bothered. Apparently a human being will eat, on average, 8 spiders per year due to spiders crawling into your mouth whilst you are sleeping.

Because they're pests they're not there to keep your house clean.
