anyone watching this on sky one/two at the moment?

Its pretty cool to watch how the pros play the games!

Also the woman announcer looks hot - she can punch me with those boxing gloves anytime! :D

They're all repeats IIRC, only episode worth watching was the Css Qualifiers I think it was, London Mint Vs Birmingham Salvo. Pretty sick game tbh.

The female announcer is Keeley Hazell btw :D

It's alright but not a good way to watch how the pro's play, they play how their team managers tell them to play. Best example is forza 2 it is more about bashing your opponent off the track, not about who the fastest racer is.

CGS is ok if you like watching old(ish) games being played, I usually watch Pulse (Sky channel 208) for my TV gaming fix ;)

AFAIK they aren't repeats, they are the current CGS (which I think finished yesterday, well BBC website announced the winner yesterday anyway).

That annoyed me a little bit. I can see why the game is played that way, but it should be a straight race to see who is the fastest, none of this Cat & Mouse bull.

Apart from that, it's quite amusing to watch. The DoA player from the London Mint was such a tube.

I got annoyed because I was watching this and then I read in a paper who the final winner was.

Seems kinda pointless watching it now.

problem watching this type of stuff is usually the commentary and the camera is utter utter rubbish especially in fps matches. they constantly switch views to different players seemingly at random. Makes it very disjointed. Means you miss the brilliant play. What they should do is record everything (all views) then let the match play out and then go back in and edit everything to see where the action is. Put it back together in a watchable format and bam you got yourself a winner.

CGS players get paid monthly as well as tournament winnings hrmm anyone know how much they get paid? (cgs blocked by work)

I always get the feeling that there is probably loads of folk from here that could rip those gamers a new one. Doesnt stop me from sitting glued to it for the last few nights though. How sad am i ... :D

I cant comment on the other games but CSS wise no chance the Salvo (Dignitas 1.6) and Mint players are the best UK players around by quite a margin sometimes too

Saw it yesterday... the team managers were way too annoying. Only watched the CS:S part and a small bit of DOA.

Better than xleague tv though... both in terms of the quality of players and the production skills of the people making the show. Xleague tv was like an assignment done by bunch of A Level Media Studies kids with a budget of twenty quid.
