Anyone Suggest how My petrol money has been worked out

Ok now i work every other saturday and every other monday.

so basically to show how it work i have this saturday and monday off. But worked last saturday and monday.

I travel 38miles a day (19 each way) I get paid 40p a mile.

Now the last few months i have been getting this paid by cheque, this worked out at normally at £400 (that included what miles i did while at work)

i am now being told i wil be getting £270 amonth payrise to cover my mileage to and from work + i will get my mileage i do at work as extra Tax free.

now there is no way that i do £130 worth of mileage whilst at work at the moment.

How has this been worked out? seems i am losing out big time here.

I will mention it tomo, but wanted to see if i could understand how they had worked it out first.

Request the formula or reasoning behind the decision. I wouldn't be happy at losing out like that.

Ask them but they've probably cut the cost per mile as 40p is pretty high to get for your commute! Wish I got paid to get to work

We are having our fuel cards revoked and salaries upped by, Mileage according to AA Routeplanner - at 35mpg. Gallon costing £5.75.

right, i am well and truely ****** off now!

just been told that £270 i had been told about was for what i was owed so far! for 9 weeks. they are paying me £23 (after tax) a week. thats down from £76 a week.

im not happy at all and they are not budging on that. I was told when i was moved out here i WOULD NOT lose out after the move! and i clearly am! doing 720miles a month cannot be done (in my car) for £92 a month!!

i am ready to leave this place now after today!! if only i had a job to walk into

i do 225 a week on £22.50 so its do-able and thats in petrol

those 190miles a week are on country roads! i wouldnt have a problem on dual carriage ways / motorways

im normally stuck behind lorries and tractors all morning and evening if i didnt have to overtake them all the time i might get closer to the 190 but still would be near it lol
