Ok firstly please forgive my stupidity but i have just entered the world of

DSLR, how do i get the 300D to shoot in RAW?

Also where would be a good place to have it serviced/cleaned? There are a few speccles

when looking through the viewfinder.

Many thanks

In the menu. First tab. Under quality.

In terms of cleaning, go and buy a rocket blower, it's probably just dust on the mirror, but if there is some dust in there then it's probably on the sensor too, so you may as well get some pecpads and eclipse solution while you're at it.

The highstreet will have rocket blowers not sure about the solutions, I've never tried to buy any there. Can certainly be had online. Google dSLR sensor cleaning for what you need and how to do it. Nothing to worry about.

I'd get rid of the competitor name too, before it's removed by someone else :)

The only time it would actually matter if it's slightly out is when you're manually focussing a lens. If you're using AF, then whatever it's set to, the image will always come out right.
