I just got an email saying i had a buddy key to give away.

Dear Age of Conan gamer

As you may know, every owner of Age of Conan may invite a friend to come play free of charge for seven days. At last we are happy to announce that we have enabled this functionality. This means that now is the time to invite your friends to come play Age of Conan and see what all the buzz is about!

The invitation process is easy:
Log-in to your account page, and choose "Buddy program". Follow the on-screen instructions, and then write a personal message to your friend if you so desire.

We are certain you will make a friend happy with this token of appreciation, and what is better than chopping of Pict heads together with your best buddy?

We recommend that you lend your install DVDs to your buddy to get him or her ready to play as fast as possible. Alternatively your buddy will be offered a $2,99/€2,99 client download with 3 additional days of playtime to cover the download time.

We still highly recommend the personal touch of going to your friend's house with the DVD install though. Not only does this make it completely free for your friend, it also allows you to show them the ropes!

WAs going to say i'll give it a go, but then I realised the client was 13GB download :eek:
 
Bought this on release...played it, thought it was great, got bored. Cancelled.

A few other mates got it though, so I signed back up. Performance wise its still pretty poor, but they've ironed out a lot of bugs, and its quite a laugh in a group...bit of a button masher, but fun all the same.
 
I also got a buddy key, but never played past me initial 3 months.

I'd love to know how many people they have lost since launch, guess we never will.

It's a bit early to be giving buddy keys out????

If anyone wants mine let me know.
 
Personally im still playing but if i were to trial it id wait till the pvp patch is released which should be 1-2weeks more.
 
Yeah I cancelled my subs too.. Have just had the key. If anyone wants it email me (email in trust) and ill send it..

Whats incoming with the patch, i cancelled my sub from when my 30 days finished as i wasnt that interested.

PVP is the main aspect of the game that appealt to me :)

Atm it is just pvp levels, murder system, pvp sets. But they plan to bring in guild alliances and alliance battlekeeps for larger scale battles and ownership bonuses.

Also some dmg will probably be changed to reduce the 1 hit chances in pvp with full crafted +dmg sets.
