PES 09 trailer

There is no real argument, no one in their right mind will buy PES09 without trying the full game first by renting or waiting to see the reviews with online lag.

I want it and hope it gets back to Pes6 standard online but I vertainly will not pre-order or buy until I've play tested.

Konami should be selling it for £15 to apologise for the rip off last year that they still haven't fixed.
 
Does not spring wow to me at all animations look stiff and rigid in video overall does not look if anything better then 08.

Silly thud thud sounds are evident aswell from 08 its only brief video aswell and camera used is not best but video dont do anything for me.

Cant see PES 09 touching Fifa 09 be nice if PES was playable and at least respectable this year though. :)
 
I find it funny that seabass said last years installment was rushed and it wasn't as good as he'd like it to be, yet this looks almost the same as PES 008 :\

They said last year the whole game needed rebuilding. Now we are hearing that its just another tweak.

That said I still prefer local games of PES to Fifa. They just need to sort the online out.

TBH the last pes has put me off even bothering with football games. I just prefer the pace of evo to fifa.
 
people who appreciate football play pes

people who want a fun / fast football game with all the teams, ridiculous goals, invincible keepers, nice replay scenes, decent commentary and licenses buy fifa.

i'm gna give pes one last chance after the hopelessness of pes08 online, otherwise i might have to move to fifa.

PES6 sucked online, but it was better than 2008. I don't want it to even be mentioned in the same sentence as 'as good as PES6', I want it much better. It was PES6 online that caused me to launch my disc.

I never had any issues online with PES06, not in about 400 games.

I'm with Danny on this one, PES6 is my second most played game, I had about 600 games online. It was fine.
 
To be honist PES6 just sucked (im talking ps2 here)

It was slow and uninsteresting (very fifa like). 2008 is pretty fun 2 player, i play it with a good mate nearly every weekend, but single player is a bit irritating (ai is a bit fixated in playing 4-5-1 and all other formations decend to it)

I say the game needs to be more like PES4 and 5 as they were just brilliant (minus the occasional pinball moments).

Compaired to FIFA *Chris is right that PES is better for those who like actual games of football opposed to a quick laugh

WHAT?

A load of BS, most who play FIFA in here use the Sports Arena regularly and are very much into watching and playing football. I want a game that replicates real life, FIFA does now. PES sure as hell doesn't.
 
The whole set up sucked, the interface was terrible.
How about selecting a game from the list only to find out it was full, but for it to re-appear in the game list menu.
Then there was the lag.

pes2008 was miles faster than its fifa counterpart. and, your comment about ridiculous goals and invincible keepers is a little unfounded. if you could explain yourself a little better, i may be able to understand your clearly "fanboy"-ish views?
