Hey guys. I'm looking for a 15-17" LCD (WS or not WS) to take to uni and use it along with my laptops VGA out.

I was wondering, my laptop has a TV tuner so i was thinking to use both screens at the same time, with the LCD running MCE, letting me watch TV etc and my normal laptop screen letting me browse the internet/work.

Is this actually possible? Do i need special software to do this or can i do this with just windows?

Thanks

Just to clarify: does using a tv with the laptop effectively allow a dual monitor setup i.e. you can browse the internet / run apps whilst simultaneously watching a dvd (in the laptop) on the tv?

Edit - got the answer myself. Somehow never occurred to me initially to try it with my brother's monitor. Dual screen does work with my graphics card.

a MobilityRadeon 7500 can easily run dual screen!
