What's your favourite herb/spice?

Used to be Paprika. I used to use about a tablespoon (if not more) in most dishes I would cook....

Until I realised that along with the 2 tins of tomatoes I also used in most of my Pasta/Italian dishes, it was killing my joints and basically giving me terrible Arthritis pains for 2 days after the meal (at 35)

A well documented occurence - which has now thankfully stopped since I stopped eating both the herb and the tomatoes. Two of my favorite things.

Chilli, i use it in most things i cook.

3 chicken breasts a day, must cost you a fortune !!

especially if he uses proper organic chicken, as Ive heard several times that supermarket chicken contains mostly fat and hardly any protein.

It does cost a lot, and I mostly just buy the normal chicken, it's hit and miss sometimes but if the values of protein/other nutritional content on the packaging are wrong, then I might have to start waving my finger down Morrisons way.

I think I may get some more herbs when I next go, I've got no oregano left, that's noice.
 
chili isn't a spice. chili powder would be a spice.

paprika is my favourite spice.
