Hope this got your attention :)

I just noticed when browsing the folding forums that both the 6.12 beta 8 and beta 11 clients expire on the 2nd of August i.e. THIS SATURDAY!

I also noticed that the Windows SMP client is expiring on the same day, however you can now update your clients to 6.22 beta 2 from here.

I'll update this when I see a new beta client for the GPU is posted, just wanted to give you guys a heads-up so we don't lose time :)

UPDATE: New GPU Client is out! Download it here along with the new Windows SMP client :)

Good work, thanks for the heads-up. I'm running an old-ish version of the GPU client but that's off at the moment cos I'm going away for a week. I'll update it next Thursday.

The linux client should be fine if you've got the latest full non beta version. If you haven't now is a good time to upgrade it :-)

Yeah I downloaded it about two nights ago so it should be fine. The other one that has been running for a while I might need to check. I'll do it later while I'm installing rosetta@home. :D

Just a quick comment.

Although the clients will expire as indicated, I believe that if they are already crunching they won't stop crunching as of this deadline, they will carry on working with the old application. It only becomes a problem when you start or restart the FAH application.

It is a good idea though, to keep a tidy house with the most up to date applications though. I will be upgrading my farm this weekend as well (though I will be halting FAH for a while to go chasing pirates in Rosetta).

hmm, been having a load of trouble gettin the tray version to work, keeps saying missing driver file, will see if can rip it out the std version.
humf

[EDIT]
k fixed by using the cudart.dll out of an old backed up f@h gpu dir.

I thought I'd try the new console GPU client on a 3850 just to see what happened and I'm getting about 1860PPD*. However it's also using 50% of an almost stock E6600 so a much larger CPU load than reported for Nvidia cards. I might try an 8600GTS instead in a day or two to see how it compares.

*Got a better WU now - up to 2300PPD.
