Hi guys,

Just wondering if anybody had some ideas about where to take the GF for a treat? It isn't a special occasion or anything, just fancy doing something. The budget is around £100.

I live in the south-west area, 20 mins south of Bath, and have a car so can travel about - would preferably not like to go more than 30 miles though :) sooo... any thoughts?

I suggested Go Karting to her, but she didn't seem too keen for some reason ;)

End of August at Brands Hatch they're running the DTM's. Lewis Hamilton is also gonna be doing a few laps in the McLaren too. All you need is beer. She can drive.

Take her up for a flying lesson. It's not quite an entire day out but it's definitely something different.

There's bound to be an airfield somewhere near you. Bristol?

With his budget, won't it only be 30 minutes and that's also if they can fit in say a 152.

They might be porky and need a Piper.

He said around £100 so I'm sure he can stretch to a bit more. Unless he chooses to go to ripoff Cabair or something, £100 should get 45 minutes at least. In a PA28 too.

Unless the prices have risen significantly since the last time I have flown which was about 8 months ago?

Go to Bath Thermae spa. It's £22 each for 2 hrs which would leave enough money for one of their treatments too.

Where abouts are you located? 20mins south of Bath isn't that specific...and I want to see if you're anywhere near me :p

Longleat for the day?

hmm... the flying sounds like a really good idea, but ideally would like to go with her and the planes are 2 seaters or more expensive 4 seaters. But that might be a plan for our anniversary or something... i can justify the cost of a 4 seater then :)

We've done the bath spa, absolutely great if anyone's interested.

The spa would cost too much unfortunately, and ideally i'd like to do something where we're together.

Longleat might be an idea! any other suggestions?
