Looked like a good day chaps, came a little to early as mapping next week :(

How about a drag day at shaky or something?? Getting a time you should be getting with weight/power aint as easy as some people think, would be an interesting day :)

248 BHP from the Mondeo ST220? Modified no doubt? Also is that Civic type R the breadvan model producing 184BHP?

Ye running Mongoose Catback Exhaust, K&N 57i and Dreamscience remap adjusted for 97ron fuel, as well as freshly serviced.

Great Pictures Invader, will have to catch you on msn if you have got any of my car.

For those interested, here is the dyno printout I got with my car from when it was mapped:

And here is the one from PS on saturday for comparison:

As you can see, despite the slightly different peak power, the curves are almost identical, as you would expect. What is interesting though is the fact that on the first graph the power has tailed away at the top, whereas on the graph from PS is doesn't tail away as quickly.

Well I would if that and other bits weren't for sale. :o

buying a better one I hope. :D

If you can afford it, get one that you dial in a desired boost, then it will adjust the wastegate duty the best it can to keep that desired boost level.
Much better than the one you had where you just dial in a wastegate percentage/duty as that's only useful for the area of peak energy.

Who's was the rallye?

Awesome. Nice car! :)

Seconded - what's the spec?

Cheers for the interest guys.
Not done a great deal yet....
Engine wise Iv'e added a 4-2-1 Raceland manifold, Magnex decat, and Magnex (old pugsport) system.

Suspension I've lowered it on eibach springs at the front and Bilstein sprintline dampers all round, lowered the rear torsion bars added braided brake lines and polyflex bushes to the rear beam.
That all.

First I took the Bosal exhaust off and made this

The I took the cat off and made this

The I went and saved the raceland manifold comparison test one in Newton m

Doh !
but it's around 118Bhp and 105 ft/lb, I did convert it somewhere but god knows where that is at this time of night. :D

Hope that helps. ;)

Was pretty disappointed with my result, but I think the boost hose splitting big style on Sunday explains a lot - chances are it had a small leak on sat as well, loosing boost but also increasing ACT as the turbo will have been over-speeding to compensate.

A previous dyno run on worse mapping, a stock cylinder head, smaller injectors and a smaller turbo running less boost gave 340.9 bhp at the wheels (375.9 at the fly) so I was fairly surprised and annoyed to have lost 50 bhp from then when I should have gained at least 30ish!!

Still nevermind was a good day out and nice to meet people anyway.

If you want a good RR and a meaningful result, head to Marlin Motors in Milton Keynes. Brilliant place :)

They do group days too, very reasonable and usually throw in free bacon sandwiches and tea! :D

Getting a fully mappable ECU. :o
