Yes another watch thread so for that amount of money what would you buy?

I'm a complete watch noob it's about time (see what I did there) I got myself a watch as I've not had one for years and I'm now after a new one which will last.

Any help would be much appreciated.

P.S - Not interested in digital.

Thanks :)

Seiko Kinetic :)

Or if you just want a fashion watch ... something like a Diesel or a Fossil

I think I want a chronograph.

I like the look of the Citizen Eco Drive, anyone got any other recommendations?

I like Tissot, quality watches that don't cost the Earth :)

Edit: Look up a Tissot PR50 Chronograph, the quartz flavour fits nicely into your bracket...

Nixon do a lot of nice watches in that sort of money, in about a squillion styles. They're fashion watches, but then again anything in that price bracket is. Some are pretty classic, some are going to look really dated soon, have a gander :)

Depending on the size of your wrist, I might recommend one of the Tissot Automatic watches. This one in particular: http://www.watchshopuk.com/gents-tissot-carson-automatic-watch-t95148331-p17177.html
I'd describe it as an inexpensive, great looking, simplistic, classic watch.

I've had it for almost 2 years with no problems. It's incredibly good looking and the strap makes it very light. It's a great watch for someone with small wrists, like me. All the larger ones just dwarf my arm and look daft. Here's a pic of the back of the watch which I like even more so than the front (about 200kB):

I believe it's a Gents Tissot Carson Automatic Watch T95148331, should you wish to search for it. Can be found for as little as £125. It's not a chronograph but I thought I'd throw in something different.

Was looking around myself last night, already have a couple of decent watches but fancied something new, although there wasn't a huge amount that caught my eye even going well beyond that price point. A few that I do like for around that price though:

Police
Diesel
Tissot
Breil
Timberland
Ellesse
Armani (Quite a price jump for this one but easily my favourite, will probably end up getting it).
Like the one posted above too.

Haven't yet seen anything that I would call outstanding, but £150 should still get a nice enough watch.

I too am looking for a watch in the same price bracket.

Last thread that came up in this budget had www.vostok-europe.com .

I like the look of a couple of these so am just narrowing down until i can decide which i really want.
