With all the 'No Sharp Objects' rules etc, what's the rule on shavers?
AFAIK normal razors (that the blades can be removed from) aren't allowed, but what about an electric rotary shaver?

I had a quick google but got conflicting answers , so figured that OcUK is the best place to ask :p
Don't know if it makes any difference but going from Gatwick to Malta (so fortunately it doesn't involve the lovely TSA ).

I've carried an electric razor as hand luggage but I guess it's all down to the airline.

Phone them and ask.

It'd be a bit dumb to not allow those, I mean what are you going to do? Shave the pilot to death :)

I was at Dubai airport once, went to the toilet to unleash some wee, came out and there was a guy using an electric shaver over the sinks. I was like

Surely one can buy razors and electric razors in departures so I would've expected it to be ok.

aye, its not like anyones going to use an electric shaver to threaten someone with

"nobody ****ing move or the goatee gets it!" :p

Well I found it shocking okay. Jeez

:)

lol why?

if you had seen someone shaving in say...mmm......mc donalds over a tray then i would say well yeah that is a bit of an odd place for a shave

infact dont the sinks have sockets for shaving in some places?

Lol i have to agree, i find your shock shocking! Ive actually changed out of a suit and into plain clothes just in the middle of a mens toilet in an airport before... sometimes you just need to do stuff when you get the chance when your traveling.
