WOW that really is something else look at the light and energy between the clouds its insane!

Has it been chopped to add extra to it? Or is that original?

Dont know much about it, found it on another forum and thought it would fit in here.

Love those pics from planes.

Flying from Heathrow to Los Angeles, you flew over iceland/antartica or whatever and you can see snow for miles and miles. So impressive. Didn't get a pic though :(

Also flying from Los Angeles to Amsterdam, i'm sure I could see both coasts of England when flying above? May have dreamed that though? ;)

Agreed. I'll try and keep an eye on this thread to try and keep this being spammed in. It's looking pretty awesome so far, lets keep it that way.

Burnsy

Thanks Burnsy, I don't go into the photography forum enough to warrant a thread in there before getting outcast, plus I am no pro at taking photos... just wanted photos for people to look at and go "oooo" "ahhhh" "holy ****!".

The space one and also the weird clouds like foam made me swear in RL  utterly amazing photos guys. :)

Life-cycle of typical 'amazing picture/photo' thread:

1. OP posts a good picture, starts the thread
2. Several posters follow suit.
3. Idiot poster with more blood in his penis than his brain posts girl/supermodel/silicon ****
4. Several posters moan of eventual thread closure
5. Thread closure by female moderator

I give this thread two days.

:D +1

Kind of confused how anyone can be puzzled by rainbows though

It's not confusement, more awe..

I'm 25 and male, and yet whenever I see a massive rainbow after the heavens have fallen, I can't help but grin :)

A group of American MIRV's re-entering the atmosphere. Very beautiful and harrowing at the same time.

Equally compelling but far less widely known were the tests of the MIRVed "Peacekeeper" ICBM nuclear missiles at Kwajalein Atol in the Pacific. ("MIRV" stands for Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles"). In these tests up to ten simulated warheads effected simultaneous reentry, creating haunting geometrically organized synthetic meteor showers whose impact was magnified by the realization that this would be the visual precursor to nuclear annihilation.
