Suprised no one has submitted a GTX 260 score. I might be able to later/tomorrow as mine should arrive today :) need to install crysis as i havent played on it since it was out! Plus i need to get overclocking again :D

Its not overclocked though :p, its running at stock :p

I said the rig is overclocked with quad sli .... maybe I should have the rig is overclocked (except the gpu) and also has quad sli  :p

EDIT: This bring up an interesting point. Webbo can you please overclock the GX2's to see what score you get? Does not have to be loads but high enough whilst lasting the duration of the benchmark? I assume it would get you at least 6 more frames putting you way out out in front seeing as the 280GTX sli rig is now on your tail? :D

Yea you should have :p

Shame crossfire scalling is crap, hopefully new drivers promising better crossfire scalling should do the trick as 1-3fps extra with crossfire is pretty crap tbh, should be up there in at the top.

Thanks man, the more you push settings with 280's, the better they respond. On my DX9 high runs, I actually got 5 FPS more with 4xAA than I did with none  No AA was also only 5 FPS more than DX10 very high

Check out the max and min framerates though, I'll post my screenie to show you what I mean

GX2 Quad Min FPS = 7 = very stuttery
GTX280 SLi Min = 31 = very playable

The GX2 max FPS blitzes the 280 though, resulting in the higher average.
I'd also like to see what OCing the GX2 does to the min FPS if you can Webbo

The GTX 260 does beat the 4870 in review benches also ;).

Very nice score btw, well done. :)

Hmm! Really? Of all the ones ive seen the 4870 has pretty much always been ahead. I know some of the older reviews showed the GTX 260 as ahead

ok , i will rerun the bench .

Btw: it was never stated that you have to run 64 bit to make a VH run because VH works in both 32bit and 64bit .

And does it make a difference if i run the bench twice or 3 times ?

Ive never seen any difference if i ran the bench 3 times .

I will rerun the bench and repost later tonight .

Not sure to be honest... Ive ran mine in 64 bit but it seems its a bit mixed but if it gets me more FPS ill change mine :p

Also needs to be 64 bit as well as its currently 32 bit

no it doesn't.... ;)

any version of vista/windows 2008 is fine. dx10 is what's important here. :)

edit: and 3 runs is required. same rules for everyone, no exceptions. :p
