A3 1.6 Sport?

This thread is so full of fail.

OP, don't buy a 1.6 A3, they are SLOW. The A3 is a fairly heavy car, iirc, and a 1.6 engine in is pathetic. Sounds like you are just buying the car because it says Audi on it. Can you not get a used example?

1.6 3 Door
100Bhp
0 - 60 in a 'brisk' 11.4 Seconds
A healthy 41Mpg (If you love the earth)
Group 9

I really would go for the 1.8T.

For me, probably going personal leasing because of high mileage (20k/pa),
depreciation really hurts even on audi/merc/bmw type cars.

You will get seriously stung doing high mileage in a lease car - the excess mileage penalties are very stiff, so you'd want a 30k PA lease to avoid these, and these are very expensive.

Thats what people say to justify the purchase of a £500 snotter not an £18k Golf.

Spot on. I absolutely hate these people who say 'oh i only want a nice run around, not some sporty car like you'd want' and they buy an 18k Golf GT. I know 2 people that have done this and it is retarded.

If people only want a A->B, run around car, spend 5-6k on a nice something, not 18k!!

EDIT: And i will never understand why people spend 18k on Golf GT's with <10,000miles, when 15k will get them a tidy Golf GTI w/30,000miles and lots of options.

Opps should have said "its ok for a 20,000 miles per annum run around"

Save up a little longer and get the 1.4T instead if you really want a new A3; better performance, better fuel economy, cheaper road tax and insurance not much higher than the 1.6.

Where have you found a Golf 1.4 TFSI Sport on a 25k PA Lease for £300 inc vat?

Tilsun have some offers because of cancelled orders and good discounts because of the mark6 launch in october, no deals for the a3.
