I can get NOD32 for £24.99

OR

Kaspersky for £28.98 for 3 desktops both 1 year subs?

Your thoughts guys?

Thanks

If NOD32 is a retail box, fair enough. If it's a download version then you could get it for less from American sources, etc.

Also you can pickup OEM 3 licence version of Kaspersky a lot cheaper still from UK retailors.

Personally have not used Kaspersky but use NOD32 x64 at home and support a few sites with 15 user licence of NOD32 and its been a great product.

- Frequent updates
- Low footprint (+/-20mb in most cases)
- Easy to use program
- Great tech support.

I've been running Kaspersky Internet Security (both the previous and current versions). The last version definitely slowed things down, while the current one is definitely better but I could swear things are still slower than with Avast. That's why i've switched back to it, a bit of a waste of a licence but there you go :p

Kaspersky's detection rates as easily the best there is, but it can come at a price of a decrease in performance.

I'd say download a trial of Kaspersky. If it works well with your system then purchase that, if not get NOD32 :)

Yeah I think I'll hit the trial options on both for a month here and there and take it from there

I think NOD32 has a good following here though..

Oh now this is getting tuff!

For the money I may go with Kaspersky that way I can have a copy on my home rig, wifes laptop and work laptop for £30 or there abouts

Use nod32 for your on demand, installed virus scanner then every few weeks run the free on-line Kaspersky virus scan.

Bets of both worlds! Kasperskys detection is second to none, but Nod32 is a very close second whilst being much lighter on resources.

Kaspersky is the best buy and much stronger - new version is Anti-virus 2009 or Internet Security 2009 -- it up to you which one NOD32 or Kasperky version 8 (2009)
