Mrs wants a weekend/shopping car

Doubt you'll get much in the boot of a clio :p

Never drove one, but their certianly meant to be fun and loads of lift off over steer.

Sure you want to get ** misses one :p
 
Plenty room in the boot for the weekly shop in a clio. lol

Fun lil cars. gets my vote.
 
Well she manages the shop at the moment and she has a Saxo which is quite rapid.

Not in the same league as a 172 but still pretty quick for what it is.
 
My son has a Clio. The boot is massive for the size of the car - i would say 2/3 times the size of our MiniCS.

Get a 172/182 :)
 
clio's can be more trouble than they are worth....so many things have got wrong with my 02 plate clio, it's unreal. It's regularly serviced by renault and it's still the bain of my life.

I can't wait to get my one series!

My missus has a 51 reg and she has never had any kind of major mechanical or electrical failure with it. She bought it brand new and since then has taken it in for servicing once a year (and associated servicing stuff - oil, filters etc), MOT at the same time and, apart from that, changed the tyres once. I know, I didn't believe her at first either!
 
Tesco home delivery + MX5 :p

Other than that, the 172 is about good as you'll get with that budget that will appeal to her - my sister loved hers.
 
Thanks for the comments and insight. Picked up a Silver Clio 172 [2000 W] today. Tax and MOT till April 2009.

Full service history all stamped up,Cambelt and ancillary belts all replaced at 56,000 miles.Nice after market Multi spokes shod in Michelin rubber,Stainless steel exhaust,all the usual extras plus a flip front CD player with 10 disc in the boot and a 600 watt amp,6x9's in a stealth parcel shelf!

Goes like stink i must say it is a very impressive little car. Will take some photo's tomorrow.

Congrats, i hear they're very good little cars. Also, where are the complementary pictures?! :D

How much did you get it for? (if you don't mind me asking)
 
Will get some photos up tomorrow and got ti for £2400. He had it up for £2600 and i thought it rude not to knock him down even though it was already cheap.
