Exactly the same, both involve spending hours doing what most of the world population would consider unsocial. And come on here, does this hobby hurt anyone?
No, its exactly the same **** as americans go on every time some kid shoots up his school, "oh noes, he played {insert some game} and it influenced him to do it". All you lot are doing is scare mongering "oh noes he likes watching ANIMATED girls show off their knickers, he must be exactly like that outside his room". Geeze, it doesn't even have any proper actors who have to do this stuff, which is more then can be said for porn dvd's. Which if all this pile was there'd be less complaints.
Besides generalising all anime to be "knicker showing" is just as retarded as generalising all games as being violent like that retard in US, who keeps trying to sue makers of GTA. Seriously, how many of you have just as big collection of games, be they bought or downloaded? At least this guy is supporting the industry which is damn lot more then some computer games infusiasts are doing by downloading them all. Seeing as we got no idea what country this comes from, things like that in Japan are a little bit more accepted, normal working people read manga on trains to work. Be a little bit open minded instead of saying "Oh noes that guy is diffirent from us, lets rip on him"
Do you go around the street and shoot people/steal cars after playing GTA? Or try to beam yourself somewhere after watching too much startrek? Seriously think here for a minute. Unless he goes and hurts others, this is a hobby, how many think train spotting is weird? Its under the same line.
