The title is pretty self explanatory. Had my split wiper blade replaced at service a few weeks ago, came to use it properly for the first time since it was replaced in the heavier rain we had last weekend, had it going for about 20 mins on fast and the blade came completely lose. It was just barely hanging on and swinging around all over the place.
Took it back to the garage the day after and the Service Manager fitted it again and just said to see how it went. Three days later and it's come off again only this time it's put a fair few scratches into the windscreen. I think it's happened as the wiper blade stopped giving resistance and the force from the arm has pushed rough parts into the windscreen and dragged them a bit.
The garage will sort out the wiper blade fine, I'm confident of this. It's just that in my mind it's up to them to them to sort out the scratches too as they wouldn't have happened if everything had been sorted originally. I'm taking it back in on Monday to have a chat with the Service Manager and hopefully get it all sorted.
Has anyone else had anything like this happen before or can offer any advice for me taking it on Monday?
