Anyone watching the Olympic opening ceremony?

Ok so disregarding all the crappy politics etc (which btw is a bit of an up yourself reason not to watch what is merely a tv show in my opinion), that was a friggin brilliant ceremony. The epic numbers of performers was staggering, and all acting with military precision, incredible to watch. Some of the aerial shots they hardly looked like people any more, in their swarms. Good luck London is all I can say. However I don't think London will be that arsed about superseding the Beijing ceremony, China is trying to make an impression on the rest of the world, which isn't something that will be on London's agenda really. Which is a shame.

I watched the first 30mins or so at lunchtime & thought it was an amazing performance.

Bring out the navy... bring out the engineers, that's my take on London 2012.

The Navy! When are those big ****ing aircraft carriers going to be finished by? Sail a couple of them up the Thames and launch some planes and missiles and stuff off them

*goes to write a letter to the British Olympic Commitee*

SAS and Paras Dropping into the Stadiam by chopper in the Formation of the Rings?:D

Don't think having some sort of military opening ceremony would go down to well will the Olympic commitee in 2012. Probably have some X-Factor wannabie singer on it though, lol
