hi well on my way to somerfield earlier my car sort of skided and as a result didnt quite make a corner (i was only doing about 20 as well) then my front left alloy basically took 100% of the the force from the kerb (one of those flat edged high ones like at a bus stop) even though i couldnt have been doing more than 10 or 15 at the time of impact its quite badly knocked my wheel, luckily theres a alloy and tyre palce next to somerfield so i took it there to ask the guys opinion and he reckons i need a new alloy great.. so doesnt anyone know of a good place for single alloys (no tyre needed) thanks. iobviously i could ask ford but i would imagine the price would be obscene.

I think its pretty important you try and find out why this happen becuase in normal driving your car should not 'sort of skid' and 'not quite make the corner'/

rain + small size ditchfinder special tyres = heroic sliding, even at a sedate pace.

i think this is going a tad off the rails :p

scrapyard will be your best bet, phone them up and ask - bet there are a fair few fiestas of that era in scrappies

indeed that is a sound plan. If you smacked a kerb hard enough to ruin the wheel then have you bent any of the suspension components or the track rod?

just took it for a quick drive, when left alone the sterring whel vibrates slightly left to right, but the car does not pull to the side also the sterring wheel is at a kind of30 degrees to the right position when going straight, looks liketrack rods are broke as well or sumit. dammm
