Gaucho Grill is very nice, good selection of wines too.
The Little Yang Sing is also very good if you like Chinese.

To be honest, if you're getting edible subtance of any kind in Manchester, you're already ahead of the game. I wouldn't get too fussy about its origins.

I went to Don Giovanni's (i think it was called that) a couple of weeks ago. Really nice restaurant, wasn't too badly priced either (for a skint student especially lol).

I went to Chinese restaurant called east a while back, it is in the middle of china town and it was really good food and very cheap
