Manchester United vs Portsmouth - Community Shield *SPOILERS*

Decent game I thought, Man Utd deserved to win even if the 2nd half was a tad closer than the first, they were always the better team.

I really don't like Nani at all, he dives, rolls around on the floor, complains constantly to the ref, makes loads of dirty challenges and is a greedy player. Pretty much epitomises what's wrong with on-field conduct in modern football.

EDIT - Tevez was awesome!

I really hope we get someone good this week and not bloody Berbatov. Otherwise our season could be a lot like this game, dominant but unable to finish.

That could be describing Ronaldo four years ago

Berba would have scored 3+ today

4 complete and utter tosh penalties from Pompey. Yes, even Defoe's was lucky to go in. I do often wonder about professional football players when it comes to penalties. So okay, I can understand the nerves in a game that actually matters, botching a penalty in say a CL/World Cup final.. but it's absolutely embarrassing that professional football players, paid thousands weekly, can't hit a ball on target from the penalty spot or put any kind of direction on it.

The difference with Nani and Ronaldo is that when Ronaldo was young you could see there was so much unbelievable potential that he was capable of being consistent with, you don't see that at all with Nani, you get glimpses of brilliance, but his game is mostly dogged with bad attitudes and poor decisions.

Also, when Ronaldo was young he was a much, much better dribbler (where as Nani has a better shot).

Nani definitely needs to become more consistant I cant argue with that

Surely you would have taken Giggs off today instead of Nani though?

Hurts does it? The fact that you decide no to answer the argument pretty much shows its all undeniable.

Clever straw man though.

Does what hurt me? The fact that your pointing out he dives?

Erm....yes hurts me to the bone

Does it hurt that you have to pick faults in other teams because you haven't got time to write down all your own **** poor team's faults?

how come you have a pic of Barry George in your sig :p

I've only picked faults with Ronaldo's character, not the whole Man U team (although Nani is similar as well).

The team I support does have faults, yeah. Fortunately though no petulant, arrogant kids play for it.

It is hard to have arrogance when you have won **** all though eh

Soon as the match is over does that mean it is time to derail the thread? I thought this thread was about Man utd vs Portsmouth not yourself and your football teams problems.
