are like buses.

Hadn't experienced a death of a friend or family in 22 years - then have 5 in 2 years..

Hence the buses simile.

Experiened many yourself?

Morbid monday thread

2 grandparents over 1 year is as bad as it's ever been for me.

Sorry to hear about this mate *hug*

All my grand parents, but that was a lot of years ago.

The only one funeral / cremation I went to was my Grandfather's (the last to go) but since he and my father were estranged I didn't ever remember meeting him when he was alive.

My brother walked out of the cremation and lit a cigarette, which earned him a tut and dagger stares from some of the family. His response: "What? Grandpa's smoking........."

Class.

0 in 22 years. Then 2 in 18 months months. My nan last year and then my dad this year.

I only went to one funeral as my nan didn't have one. My Dad's was in France at a crematorium and it was a weird experience which I couldn't wait to end.

Nobody said anything about patterns, he was just saying that they all suddenly happened at once.

what this man said

i wasn't predicting that more will follow soon
or myself, friends and family will all be gone by the time i'm 30
or the world is doomed, my personal experience has shown the start of it

it was just a
quite a rubbish time (death wise) for me at the moment, what about you

No deaths from birth to 14 years. Then my dad dies, grand dad, a few uncles, mum's friends.

Weirdly, i havent cried once, or even been sad

My best friends little brother got stabbed in the chest by a 14 year old boy a few years back and died.

Watched my grandad take 3 years to die of cancer after I made the decision to keep him alive at the turn of the illness and unfortunately went on to suffer for years in pain.

6 family members in 27 years. 3 of those within four months of each

Cousin of cancer
His brother of falling down the stairs and cracking his skull open after getting sloshed because his brother had died
There Mother a few months later, car crash

That was a **** year!

That's like a whole family gone! What did the father do? Surely he would be crushed? Sorry to hear that, thats a real bad situation :(

I guess I'm kinda lucky, in that I haven't experienced any deaths, Grandad died about 6 months before I was born, and in the past 16 years, I've only lost my Great-Grandma at 96 years old, although I only ever met her about twice, so it didn't really affect me. Wanted her to get to 100 though :(

Well her husband wasn't the biological dad of the boys, nevertheless they were very close. Currently he's living in France by himself, it's quite sad seeing him as he clearly hasn't got the same motivation as when my Aunt was alive :(

Just the odd death through out life.

Had a friend killed in a car crash when I was in reception class and a lad died of an OD at a levels. An old friends sister walked out the back of the ambulance on the m5 about 6years ago. A few grandparents have died.

I don't now how the parents coped seeing your kid fall out onto the motorway in front of you.

3 of my freinds are dead
one hung himself, one died at the hands of a drunk driver, one had a heart condition.

my great grandmother died of old age.

I get chills thinking about it all.

I've had no immediate family die in my lifetime, and I'm 20. God forbid the day someone close goes, they'll all start going :o

grandparents have died, and 2 people who i knew but not great friends with died in seperate car crashes, always plays on my mind when driving :o and another guy i sorta knew died but no one really knows how, he just died in his bed..

I guess I'm lucky in the fact that I haven't experianced deaths in my family, as in my uncles/aunts and grandparents. I have all of my grandparents still.
