Anyone going to the Bulldog Bash this year?

What was the policing like? I work just round the corner from the airfield but I was away last week so missed most of it. Apparently they shut all the back lanes, set up loads of ANPR cameras and the place was crawling with armed police.

PK!

Overhanded. Police everywhere. All my mates got stop and searched(I was in a car and so didn't). They took wooden mallets and tiny camp saws away.
Police said they had no use for them, as there were no tents on the bikes. Even though it's obvious where they where going and had just poped to supermarket for supplies.

We were between a sunglasses stall(!) and a guy with two trikes - one HD and one (faptastic) Excile Cycles one with F1 rear rubber and looking ****ing evil. Opposite Hunter Class bike clothes too...

When i saw loads of police on the way to tesco for supplies, they were all playing football, eating crisps and drinking coke... there was like 30 or so of them in a lay-by not far from the fields.

I heard £2m was spent on policing, but i struggled to see where that money would have gone

overtime wages for several hundred cops. They where being drafted in from all over the place, not just local police.

Penski I'm sure you can say the name, was that the sunglass place on the main drag? stolen tool company or near there?

We didn't put the sign out (stall design means either waterproof stall or sign out. We chose the former...) so it's irrelevant ;) :p

Two 'roads' towards the strip from the main drag.

At global the police working the front gate were on something like £30 an hour so if they had enough police around which it sounds like they did it wouldnt take much to use a large wedge of that 2mil
