Right, the random nuke and volcano thread has now prompted me to ask this. It's been on my mind for a while.

If I had a baby and from an early age tied small weights to its arms and legs which gradually got heavier after he got used to the weights would this either make

A) Super Strong Child

or

B) Super Deformed Child.

Would it be better to tie them to a toddler instead?

Deformed. This used to be a problem with steel workers and labourers pre-1800, where a lot of kids went to work with huge weights from a very early age (10-20!) and had back problems for the rest of their lives and stunted or deformed growth to varying extents.

I've seen a documentary on a family doing this to basically breed athelete children. Their daughter is proclaimed the strongest girl in the world and they start training from birth with very small weights. Poke around on google abit for proper info including medical implications etc.

I think you would get better results if you secreted lead weights in all of the child's toys. He would be used to everything being really heavy so when he was at play-school age he could wreak havoc.

Roman soldiers used this technique with their wooden training swords, it made their real swords feel much lighter and hence easier to thrust at the groin or throat of a rebellious slave.

It is a good idea but I imagine the Chinese have been doing it for years.

The more practical father would administer Red Bull, Hi Protein shakes and steroids. Do you love your child or not, ffs?
