SpeedFan alternatives?

Hi guys,

I'm just experimenting with slowing my CPU fan down on a NF7-s(v2). I'm using SpeedFan, the 1st thing I've found that can alter the speed from software, are there any better alternatives??

A lot of mobos come with fan control software, but for what it is SpeedFan is awesome. I'm using it to keep my AC Freezer 64 Pro quiet on Vista Ultimate

i havent any other types of software other than whats on my mobo to control my CPU. Plus it keeps track of temps in graphs and the new beta one apparantly can keep track of your GPU temps and fans aswell.

Nice one. SpeedFan it is.

Just out of interest, as per usual, it gives no help whatsoever. Anything but maximum fan speed leads to temp sky rocketing!!

You think there is a lack of help for Speedfan ?.

If you look in Start/Speedfan you will see a very greatly detailed HELP file.

EDIT, i now think you mean slowing the fans did not help your Temps lol.

Does speedfan work with your P5K-e?

I tried it ages ago with mine, but I couldn't get it to work. I changed the fan speed %, but nothing ever happend.

yes it does but not on the CPU fan header only on the motherboard headers, you will need to go into the configuration and onto the chipset menu for the motherboard, there you can set the fan control to manual PWM
