£££ Rockband- Unofficial thread £££

Got this on friday and its pretty good, only got the guitar hero 3 controller and I've just done hard mode. I can't get to grips with highest note held strumming or w/e. Add me if you want to play some.

They stick over the top sitting on the edge of the plastic ring to avoid the horrible sound when you miss the pad completely :)

Definitely a worthwhile addition to the kit though - I played Go With The Flow on medium drums with no pads then red & yellow pads silenced and whilst they aren't actually silent alongside the originals they sound as much :)

I'll add you guys just now as well :) More bandmates the better - most of them are quitters :p (and Worthy has gone AWOL :()

If you want to make it easier load up the song '29 Fingers' on expert - high speed but no bass pedal work. Play and pass that song then go back to easy and it'll be a piece of cake :)
 
cheapest songs are 80 points (usually limited time only)

most songs are 160 points (single tracks)

most 3 packs are 440 points (minor discount on individual tracks)

larger 6 track packs start from ~800 points

Albums are around 1,200 points - upper limit I've seen I think was 1,600 points or so.


For all the DLC?

Got 98% 223 note streak on GG&HT (on hard) tonight, i think it was extremely close to 99% too, no screenshot though. Tried again afterwards and only got 97% 200ish note streak. :(
 
Sorry Psymonkee couldnt play last night the wife wanted to spend some quality time playing rock band with me. by the time she said she'd sing in our band it was too much hard work to type in a message on the guitar.

On the plus side we bought all the oasis pack and "more then a feeling" << Top Tune ALERT and a SOAD tune. :)

Aesthetics of Hate is pretty tricky on expert....almost all strumming, inc solo :( 4* Sightread, not a bad song though.

Clouds over California is another song that actually alright on guitar despite being and generally awful song. Decent solo and some nice fast strummy bits. 4* Sightread

Constant Motion is just plain buh?!?!? Failed at 71%

My Curse is pretty much what I expected after playing it of GH3, so nothing out of the ordinary. Another 4* due to a crappy intro performance :(

Runnin' Wild is an awesome song, but sadly no solo. Great fun though, 5* sightread

Sleepwalker is rock solid, failed on my first attempt at 45% :(

I just had a cunning thought (well not really) perhaps the original Rockband set wont ever come out for PS3 if say RB2 comes out in November (fat chance that happening lol)they might as well release RB2 as a full set than have to ship RB1 instruments and RB2 ones within a few months. Or it could mean we have to wait till next year sometime for RB2 lol.

Thanks for that i can't wait to try it :) Its been a while since i've had a tough expert Guitar song on Rock Band i actually hope it kicks my arse first time i play it lol
