All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

No one really knows. With so many signings Ramos could do anything really, but what I saw of him in pre-season he was incredibly sharp.

However if you're building a FF team as it would seem, I wouldn't take Bale over Evra or Clichy.

I would like to but they are too expensive. It's one that is run at my dad's workplace.

Bale will play. He's been a regular in pre-season and he's capable of playing anywhere down the left.

Can't wait to see him score a few more freekicks against Arsenal this season. :)

Assuming he's classed as a full-back in your FF, I agree. He's never going to earn a clean sheet ever.

Few more would suggest he has already scored two or more free kicks against us. :p

I really hope united dont buy Berbatov, theres much better out and out strikers which is what we need badly.

Saying that though, i would play Berbatov over Rooney most definatly, his form for the last few seasons has been dire.

Tevez/Berba would be a decent strikeforce.

I think Cole would be good on the LW for Liverpool. Better than what we have got atmo imho

we're using fullbacks for width so he'd not be so great for us, we need someone who plays in the centre holding preferably, who can also pull out to the left.
Although cole would be a great asset as one of the front 3, I cant see him being a realistic target as thats the place Babel is penned to grow into by rafa.

i gotta agree entirely, rooney is a shadow of the player we all thought he would become, it used to be fun watching him run at players with no fear .....he's got his medals at utd but at the cost of individual brilliance he could have had at any other club.

personally i think berbatov has sulked the entire last season hoping for his dream move, i doubt you would see him 'lazy' at a big club.

Roy Keane wasn't dirty, he was just .. competitive

g.neville, scholes, butt, RVN .....they were "competitive" too as is Rooney on his day.

vieira got targetted because he had more skill than any other defensive midfielder by a stretch, he made good players look stupid many a time ;)

that's pretty rich from a Utd supporter :)

We're not a dirty side though. We don't get all petty on a pitch and start lashing out :p.

We had Keane and Cantona, the former competitive, the latter a nutter, but either way, Vieira was extreme, he got sent off all the time :p. Hasn't Wenger had something like 60 red cards since he's been manager? It's staggering.
