How Cheap Is This BMW!

Simple anwser of its too good to be true, and what better place to list some defunked cars on ebay, you will get some people buying just from the listing title and price.

But you do get statuary rights as he is a trader. Why buy from him? It's totally pointless, if he literally just resells everything from BCA faults included (ok so he mentions them although his website does say he doesnt check everything) why not just buy from BCA yourself. I see no benefit really.

What rights do you get if it's an auction? Please explain.

Sorry perhaps I miread your post. I thought you implied that you would get the same level of cover (regarding trading standards, small courts etc) if you bought from him at auction rather than fixed price.

Some sort of scam going on with that guy's Ebay auction.

I've just put in a bid on a '04 E46 320 Touring and out of nowhere a new bidder has appeared to automatically outbid me. Every time I raise my bid, a new bidder suddenly appears and raises their bid too. Automatic bidding, shill bidding, sniping shennanigans

No my point is that he isn't offering much if anything above buying direct from BCA in the first place, so why not cut out the middle man.

Yea thats how Ebay works, you put in the max you wish to bid and it auto bids for you to that amount?

Clearly!:D Perhaps you should read about incremental bidding. You put in the max you are willing to bid and the system bids against other people automatically on your behalf. It is possible there is shill bidding going on but you can't possibly know this from the scenario you have just described. Anyway why the hell are you bidding after what you have posted on these forums about the guy?

Yup. I agree with you on that one. Far better to get an auctionview account and get it to alert you when the cars you want appear in the salerooms. Having said that you need to be a canny bidder because if Belle View and Preston are anything like the other auction houses the auctioneer will try and pull your eyes out by playing noob tricks such as inventing bidders that don't exist (and then back tracking 2bid increments) etc etc. BCA is even more of a lions den than ebay in some respects.

Whats your point? A car with 142k on it, like any car, has a value and in this case it's still above £5.5k hence the thread. It's a V8 BMW not a Ford Fiesta, perhaps they cope with mileage differently... ;)

yea thats good point well who ever is buying it should meet up with owner before buying it that u not get scammed
