Just got this board today, and it looks nice, knowing it was coming i downloaded the newest bios i could find from Asus, its numbered 1103, yet today the newest i can see on their site is 0803???? Does that mean that 1103 is flakey and has been removed? It didnt say anything about it being beta

full file name is :-
P5Q-ASUS-DELUXE-1103.ROM

this is weird, might be a bit small but the ie address has p5b in it? yet the page shows p5q

I did have it, and I loved it. Took both my Q6600 and Q9450 further than any P35 or X38 board I had used.

Only if the CPU will do it. If it's a good chip then 4ghz is possible, but it can't perform miracles.

I agree with cob - this board rocks! I found 1103 was taken up and put down several times - this may be server related, but i think it was due to some initial problems. I have had no problems with 0803 (at the time of purchase, this was considered to be the best, although i havent really kept up to date with newer bios releases - i have got the performance i was after), and in my experience it clocks quads well!

having major headaches with mine, its locking up constantly, havent managed to get an os installed yet, not sure if its the ram but its certainly pointing towards it, its 4gb ocz pc2 8000 plat xtc, gonna dig through my draws and see if i can find any other stuff

Can't see the BIOS causing the lock-ups, and flashing it if it's locking up could be risky.

But then if you're going to RMA it anyway it probably wouldn't matter.
