Clearly a pretty memorable level for people. For me, there was that much assault rifle ammo about, you could easily just hang out of one of the hatches below and just be patient and gun it down.
Replaying through I went for the front deck gun on normal difficulty which downs it fairly quickly, though you get hit enough that I wouldnt want to suggest this on tougher difficulty.

Company of Heroes, had me pulling my hair out at one point.
Also more recently, I'd say Gears of War, last boss ... difficult, but in a very, very annoying way.

Getting good at Grand Prix Legends took a looooong time.
It was great to get to the point of being able to put 5-10 competitive, fast qualifying style laps in at a time without a mistake, and to be able to start to understand car setups, make a tweak, feel the difference in the car, and see the effect on the lap times.
No other game has come close for me since I dropped out of the GPL scene in 2001 or so.

I know plenty of peeps will laugh but that mission where you have to storm the hill in the daytime took me 5 hours to complete.
And if you thought that was bad the first time I attempted it took me 3 hours to build enough forces to get up the hill and fight through the defences only to be met by numerous panzers and an artillery strike the blitzkrieg would be proud of only to be wiped out after a lengthy battle
And this was on the easy setting.....
