It was a scientific investigation, if that was the conclusion then that was the conclusion. Would you rather they just made up a result so it was more exciting?

It's certainly a hell of a lot more exciting than saying they are all misobserved natural phenomena.

It's still a lame conclusion.

I can look up at the sky and see something unidentifiable (by me anyway) and judge whether or not it's flying intelligently.

If you conduct a fair and balanced investigation and your conclusion matches the pattern in the data how the hell is that lame?

It's lame because it doesn't conclude anything that you're average joe couldn't discern without a little bit of research.

Yes it's scientifically proven but it doesn't change the fact that it's unexciting and nothing new. Years of research to say that UFOs are still UFOs but some of them fly intelligently is lame to me, but I suppose it's nice to have it as a matter of official scientific record.

Your attitude belittles the subject,

I would love to see more scientific research done but while people lean either too far toward tin foil or too far toward pure scepticism, the subject will never be taken seriously.

There is sadly very little middle ground in the UFO field where serious investigation can flourish.

Well think about this logically if you were transporting illicit goods would you want people wondering who you are and why your flying around their airspace? No so what you do is trun off your transponder signal and keep under radar occasionally you might pop up on radar but then they won't be able to identify a. who you are and b what you're flying therefore you'd be classified as a U.F.O

You would indeed, apart from the fact non of the characteristics of the best UFO cases match those of a standard aeroplane.

If you're flying close to ground and want to go undetected firstly you'd do it at night and secondly you'd have the minimum amount of lighting on so's as not too be seen therefore from the ground you wouldn't be able to see in exact detail what shape or size the UFO is so logically you could conclude "OMFG ALIENZ!"

Multiple objects flying in formation
Objects far bigger than any conventional aircraft
Objects easily outrunning militery aricraft
Objects making high gforce manouvers that would kill a human pilot
Objects vanishing into thin air
Objects only visible via infared scopes

(These are all things documented by militery whitnesses in some cases with radar data / video)

Not all cases I'm sure most cases are infact what I've pointed out
