The Case Against ETs visiting Earth

Over the past few months I've become more and more interested in what's up there. After watching and reading quite a few reports, I'm going to admit that I'm 80% sure ETs are visiting our Earth. The 20% uncertainty is because I haven't seen one with my own eyes.

A large percentage of Americans believe they have witnessed Alien UFOs, and even in our country these reports make it to the news; but it's not just one guy witnessing a UFO, it's usually a multitude of people in different areas witnessing this phenomena. The usual account for an alien spacecraft is that they're silent, have bright lights and have the ability to suddenly change direction completely and accelerate to very high speeds very quickly. They've also come in the shapes of discs and triangles.

Over the past week we've had about 5 threads about UFOs. Like most other people here, I look at any reports critically, but I often see what I find as good evidence, still being trashed. I'm sorry this post had to be so long, but basically the point of this thread is to ask everyone why you are so disbelieving that ETs are visiting the planet despite the mounting evidence.

As far as I'm aware there has never, not once in all the sightings, been any better 'proof' than grainy footage from a redneck.

And because you can't prove it is not an alien life form the conspiracy nuts use it to fuel their idiotic ideas which in turn rubbishes any genuine debate to be had on the subject.

Take the Phoenix Lights for example, and Stephenville. Also take into account the multitude of important people acknowledging ETs, such as the Mexican and Japanese government and a number of famous astronauts. Tens of thousands of people have witnessed flying objects which they did not recognise as normal aircraft. I'm sure many of those can be explained as being flares or other things, but when those lights start moving rapidly and in different directions, how do you explain them?

Please keep this thread serious, even though this issue may seem pretty funny to a lot of people.

I'm open minded but I can't say I'm convinced we're visited by aliens. I'll believe it when there's evidence which can be properly trusted or simply can't be disputed. At the moment all the "evidence" we have is grainy videos and retired personnel from certain organisations. You have to think about their real motives. Financial gain perhaps?

I know what you mean though. Some people will refuse to believe the evidence before they've even set eyes on it which is a bit sad.

:confused: WHY do people always use that sign ? Please keep it to religious debate threads !!

People that dismiss it instantly are forgetting the mathematical chances of ET visiting are astronomically high

And yet in another thread we have a reasonable % of people thinking a guy with a fluffy beard exists and sits on clouds

Even grainy video evidence is damn sight more evidence than god etc

So yes I think there is a massive chance ET exists (maths works this out as a greater than 99% probability)

As for visiting earth who knows, but there out there somewhere

To think that we are the only intelligent life form in the universe for me is very naive, just think about the sheer number of stars there out there, NASA estimate that there are 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 now I am pretty sure out there around one of those stars is a planet supporting life.

Pointless argument that will get you nowhere on this forum, it doesn't count as evidence.

Pretty sure the tin foil hats are for stopping aliens stealing your thoughts, not Jesus from entering your brain.

Would be an entirely inapropriate image in a religon thread.

Wholly agreed. I don't see why it fits into a religious thread either.

Now what's the odds of them visiting us?
