I was originally going to wait until the N96 is released and get that, but I may just get the N95 8GB now. What difference are there between the 2?

On Nokia's website it says that the N96 is 3 grams lighter and its dimensions are 103*55*18 where as the N95's dimensions are 99*53*21.

Also, this is the main worry I have: it says that the N96 can only record VGA @ 15FPS whereas the N95 can do 30FPS...

I'm sure the n96 can record 30fps too.

The main difference is the style and the TV tuner (whats the point?)

Wait untill the N96 comes out then get the 95 8gb as it will be cheaper still.

Oh the N96 can take 16gb cards when they come out

N96 has 16GB internal storage plus a memory card slot.

N95 has 8GB internal storage and no memory card slot.

N96 is released in late september - early october afaik.

I actually prefer the style of the N96 to the N95, but it doesn't seem to bring that much "extra" over it's predecessor.

This is so disappointing, i was expecting more. It's been how long since the 8gb came out? And what we get is (considerably) more memory and an extra LED. Not even a proper damn flash.
THis sucks. I'm going to echo the sentiment of another website when I say that the N95 and the 8Gb were just betas for this.
I could buy this and spend another 18 months on a phone I know to be excellent but still practically the phoen I've had for the past 18 months, or I could go Sony Ericsson and get touch screen sexyness. HM.

Your forgetting the constant problems with the phone, its touchscreen, random resets... will be in and out for repair more than it will be with you :( When i start hearing good things about Sony Ericsson i might consider them again, but thats not looking to be any time soon!

If samsung pull it off, the INNOV8 is promising, if not slightly large but hey it really does seem to have everything as well! Shexy metal body too, samsung know how to make those. Shame they missed off a real flash though, what were they thinking!?!?!!

honestly, don't think that the touch screen on the k850i is sexy / good / useful. it is so annoying that i recently ditched a perfectly good k850i and got an n95 8gb instead. with the touchscreen, you end up activating functions by mistake as the screen touches your face during a call. you can't use it by feel like you can with a purely buttoned phone, as you can't feel where your fingers are on the smooth screen. also, it decides to reboot itself frequently, often in the middle of a call. i've never had another phone that does this.

it drove me increasingly insane over a period of months until i decided i had to get rid of it. i even offered it to a mate for free. he has a crap cheapo phone, but after playing about with the k850i for a while he decided to stick with his cheapo.

i sincerely hope touchscreen does not become standard. in my opinion, it is inferior to normal buttons.
