It's quite typical that this happens 2 days after I buy a £10 mousemat and pay a few quid postage LOL

Will order some more bits this week I suppose!

Bravo OcUK !!

Aww - go on, cut an old git a bit of slack! Been here 5 years and I don't need to post usually - I get my answers from reading!

Crawl, creep..........

:)

[Bloody typical - always got told off in school for too much talking, now I lose 'cos I DON'T talk!]

just a jest guys - don't need anything just yet - WANT however....:)

What ya gonna get? :D

Just the 4870 for now. I was thinking about the X2 4870 but If I got that then I'd have to get a new CPU also as one of the review sites stated that the same card in a faster system than the test system gave out much better results. There could be gains past 4.5Ghz even but we'll have to wait for some drastic benching to see how much of the power is held back.

When I get a new CPU then I'll sell the 4870 and get the X2 but I'll wait and see how much CPU speed is needed to release the full potential of the X2 4870 first.

My 8800GTX is perfectly fine for me now and the 4870 is faster so at least it's an upgrade. Some of the games I'm playing will receive a nice boost :D. How are you enjoying your 4870 over your 8800GT m8?.

Great deal.

I buy quite bit of stuff from ********* just for the free postage - if the price is more or less right, I find it easier to buy from there as a result (mostly junk admittedly).

yeah. free postage is great. always an incentive to buy something! usually its the postage that stings me, i think, woo! ive got the money to buy it at last! then the postage gets added and pushes it over. i really hope they make this mainstream. then ill be getting my 4870x2 :D

One question, are the orders that ship with Royal Mail First Class going to be fully insured? I have had some terrible experiences with them in the past, far worse than any courier.

Maybe you could just offer free shipping on any order over £50 or so, and ship them all by City Link.
