Really good to see OcUK bringing out these deals but free shipping to UK mainland only is a slight annoyance since living in Northern Ireland is in the UK but I guess I can't complain with 50% :)

Seriously, I imagined that the primary reason would be for a bit of research. People often ask how much it costs Spie to run this place, and how much his profits are boosted by it. It'd sure be interesting to find out.
 
Shame that I've been an OCUK Forum 'watcher' for many years, and so few posts.

Wouldn't you consider a reduced post count for members registered more than 12 months or so ?

We have discussed the option of altered requirements of longer member accounts but we settled for the trial on 250 posts as it means you have to contribute to the community and hopefully help other people before you get free shipping on all your orders.

250 posts can be done in a few weeks if you get in on some spec me threads and new product discussion. :)

This is excellent news, I certainly hope that it continues after the trial period as I doubt I will reach the 250 post count before then but you never know.

Shame I will only qualify for 50% off living in Northern Ireland :eek:
 
I'm diving in myself! I've been a long time lurker, largely due to not upgrading for FIVE years (:o). The forums are the first place I looked to get back in touch with what's hot and what's not. I've been reading over a lot of threads but have tons of questions so I think I'll make 250 pretty soon! :)

Just my 2 Pence here. I can see how you judge loyalty by post count. But surely loyalty is based on how much money is spent with a company. What about a discount for people who have spent over a certain amount too ?

Or shall i just keep my 2p to myself ?
 
Robot, they are going to do more trials later probably with one rewarding those who are frequent users of the OcUK shop. It was said somewhere.

For now, the loyal forum members are getting the discounts, which hopefully I will be eligible for soonish :).
