I want to get rid of some cables in the house and two of them run from one end of the living room to the other.
I have 2 devices plugged into my router a Linksys WRT54GL that I would now like Wi-Fi'd up.
One of them is my old XBOX which I use as a multimedia tool so I would still like to be able to stream to it from my PC.
The other is a satellite receiver called a Dreambox that I need to stream to/from.

What devices do I need from the OCUK site that will get these 2 talking to my router?
If I plug a Wi-Fi device into my Dreambox how will I be able to give it the password like I did my laptop and IPAQ?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Forgot to mention that both devices have only a network cable socket so a USB dongle would be no good.

Wireless AP that'll work as a client and a switch would do, but you're just switching two cables for two boxes (plus power bricks for them) and two cables.

The AP could be configured wherever you liked.

Thanks but you're talking Chinese :)
You need to explain exactly what you're on about then I can go to OCUK for the stuff this afternoon.
An OCUK sale is in your hands.

Sorry, I'm supposed to care about a sale? Unless I've missed something, the shop don't pay my wages...

You need to find a wireless access point that'll work as a wireless client (to connect to your router), and a switch to connect it to your two devices (since most APs have a single RJ45 on the back). This is a list of wireless APs, it's up to you to work out which will do what you want.
Alternatively, a WRT54GL will definitely do bridged wireless client and is no more expensive than the four (?!) options listed.

The point I was making was that you're swapping two cables (from the router to the devices) with two boxes (switch and AP), power bricks for the two (they don't run on fresh air) and two shorter cables (from the two devices to the switch) - and paying ~£50 for the privilege.

Thanks Tolien but after discussions with the wife we don't want something else taking power so I'm going back to my cables which I will soon be able to bury under the floorboards.

Thanks once again.
