Not for me.

Friend of mine, has £10k needs a car.

Doesn't do many miles, doesn't have to be practical, insurance group ain't a problem, engine size not an issue, age of car doesn't matter.

What would you buy?

Does he have any requirements at all?
From your description he doesn't care and might as well get a Daewoo Matiz and save a few quid.

A manual Porsche 968 Sport, Club Sport if you can find one. Most fun £10k can buy.

E39 or E28 M5 , not fussy. :D

But Maz, you work in the trade so you know everything about cars. Why do you need suggestions from us minions?

I don't know what I'd buy. Probably another 530i with every option as I'd want more than £10k for an M5.

Grande Punto 1.4 Turbo

Did you read the OP at all? - Surely, no matter how good a Punto may ,perhaps, be when the choice "doesn't have to be practical, insurance group ain't a problem, engine size not an issue, age of car doesn't matter" then why on earth would anybody go for such a relatively mundane choice?

Each to his own & all that, but come on........ ;)

You mean you'd want to give more?

Come on Foxy, you seriously telling me £10k won't buy you or anybody else - with homework - a decent prospect e39 M5?
