Lian Li 360 Case

If you like having a console that sounds like a boeing 747 then it is. If you want to be able to hear the game its self over the console it is a worthwhile investment.

That'd be the DVD drive then, this case won't do much to combat that at all.

When you can install games to the hard drive if you can still hear your 360 over the sound perhaps you should take it off mute or consider new speakers as yours must be broken.

I really don't want to get "involved" in this but this case apparently has some damping for the DVD drive, what form this takes I do not know, so don't shout at me.

Also 360s with delta fans make a horrible high pitched noise which this case would remove.

It would have to have a lot of damping to combat the noise the 360 drive makes.

How much would a new DvD drive cost tho ? Same as for a PC, maybe ? Don't know myself how different they are.

I love Lian Li and build my PC's in them, i like my 360 aswell. I may just give this ago when i see the final price for UK buyers.

i wonder what the uptake o nthese will be - i doubt they will sell well due to people wanting their warrantys still

and the 360 hasnt exactly got a good relaiability track record

I assumed (wrongly?), that you moved the drive from the 360 over and incorpeated it into the bay somehow?

They are essentially PC drives, but just models made exclusively for the 360. Therefore you can just plonk any drive in, and even if you changed your own for another 360 drive, you would have to hack it as it it tied in with a key to the motherboard.

Thx for the info, the drive is moved well away now and into a bay that reduces noise. Will have to read some reviews on this to see how it all works out. If the hack is quite straight forward then worth it in the long run imo.

Does anyone know what the RRP of this is going to be in the UK? Ive found a site that is selling them when released for £79 inc delivery and vat, i was thinking this is probably £20-30 dearer than what the UK release will be.

I know a site that is selling them for £59.00 including VAT
