Bristol Parkway - Main shopping centre?

I'm going to Bristol Parkway station tomorrow...no idea about the area so how far away is the 'best' shopping centre? A place where there is a John Lewis and so on.

From Parkway you can get a bus or taxi to Cribbs Causeway, an out-of-town mall which has a John Lewis. Otherwise, your best bet is going one stop further into Temple Meads for city centre shoppery.

I think the closest shopping centre will be the Mall at Cribbs Causeway which has a John Lewis

Aye, everyone's said it - I'm off to the Mall tonight, hopefully not for very long.

I despise big groups of people standing around and getting in the way, so Saturday afternoon's a big no-no!

miles. either bus to cribbs causeway which is the mall. About 10mins. http://www.mallcribbs.com/

Or get a return train ticket to Bristol temple meads £2.70ish. Then a 15min walk into the centre.

Shouldn't be more than a tenner. (although never got a taxi on that route)

It's about £15 during the day from centre to Bradley stoke.
and parkway to Emersons green is shorter.

moving house end of september so cooking can resume!

will be doing a dinner party shortly after I move in, so you'll have to wait 6 or 7 weeks.

One other thing try and avoid black cabs they're expensive. The mercs and other type cars are cheaper, and they will agree a price before you set off.
